Jennifer L. Eberhardt (1965) is a social psychologist who conducts research on race, bias, and inequality. She focuses on how people grapple with issues of race and racism across society—in neighborhoods, schools, and workplaces, and particularly in the criminal justice system. Eberhardt is now working with law enforcement agencies in Oakland, California, and other cities to improve police relations with minority communities. She is a member of the National Academy of Sciences.
