Susan T. Fiske |
Susan T. Fiske (1952) investigates social cognition, especially cognitive stereotypes and emotional prejudices, at cultural, interpersonal, and neuroscientific levels. She is most known for studies on how people think about one another and the societal implications of that thinking. Fiske’s theories and research include the continuum model of impression formation, the power-as-control theory, the ambivalent sexism theory, prescriptive ageism, and the stereotype content model. She is a member of the National Academy of Sciences.
