Ruzena K. Bajscy
Ruzena K. Bajcsy (1933) is a Czech-born American engineer and computer scientist known for her groundbreaking work in the fields of computer vision, robotics, and medical imaging. Bajcsy has been a leader in computer science education, research, and technology policy. One of her concerns is the impact of computers and robotics in daily life and across society. For example, some of her work explores how robotics can help older adults and people with muscular dystrophy. Bajcsy is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and the National Academy of Medicine.
